Sridevi, whose full name was Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan was born on 13th August 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India. Considered as first female superstar of Indian cinema, she worked mainly in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Her career ranged from over five decades. She made her debut at the age of 4 with Tamil film Kandhan Karunai (1967). Her notable Bollywood films include Solva Sawan(1979), Himmatwala(1983), Tohfa(1984), Mr. India(1987), Nagina(1986), Khuda Gawah(1992) Laadla(1994) Judaai(1997) English Vinglish,(2012), Mom(2017). She won numerous accolades in her lifetime including Padma Shri, Nandi Award, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement, National Filmfare awards and many more. She died on 24th February 2018 due to accidental drowning.
